Cycling Fun for Dabhóg in Belfast

Say hello to Dabhóg from Belfast. Recently we were able to present young Dabhóg with a special mobility trike so he could be included in family cycling activities with her friends and family. As a charity that promotes inclusion and equality for children with disabilities, we are delighted to step in when possible, to ensure wonderful children like Dabhóg from across the island of Ireland have equal access to cycling.

Here is a note we received from Dabhóg’s mother letting us know the benefits that his new trike is having on both his mental and physical well-being. Many happy years of cycling Dabhóg from all of us here at Variety Ireland!

I would like to extend a massive thank you to Variety Ireland for making this opportunity possible. Dabhóg was so excited to receive his  new trike and was not disappointed when it arrived.  He has taken to cycling better than I expected thanks to the design and brilliant engineering features with this trike.  Dabhóg is enjoying using his trike and the fact that it fits in the boot of the car as is a massive plus as it allows us to explore various cycle routes and days out in the park This trike has given Dabhóg so much confidence, independence and exercise. We truly are grateful for the funding as it’s help create new opportunities and possibilities for Dabhóg.
