We are Variety – the Children’s Charity of Ireland, registered as “The Heart of Variety (Ireland) CLG”.  We are ‘Tent 41’ of the international organisation Variety – the Children’s Charity. We are a registered charity in the Republic of Ireland, Charities Reg No: CHY5739.

 

 

Why This Notice?

The purpose of this Privacy Notice is to explain how personal information relating to you (“Personal Data“) will be handled by us (“Variety – the Children’s Charity of Ireland”) as accountability and transparency are central to our values as an organisation.

We will only use your information within Variety – the Children’s Charity of Ireland for the purposes for which it was obtained. In some circumstances, we may be required to share your data with the International office of Variety – the Children’s Charity for purposes of reporting and transparency within our organisation.

As per the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), any personal data we receive will not be kept any longer than it is necessary for the purpose for which the personal data is processed. i.e. If you make an application to us for assistance, your data will be kept on file for the duration your application remaining active.

We want to give you the confidence that your Personal Data is secure.  Variety – the Children’s Charity of Ireland has a series of policies and procedures in place to ensure your personal data is safe. We are committed to taking reasonable and appropriate steps to protect the personal information that we hold from misuse, loss, or unauthorised access. We do this by having in place a range of appropriate technical and organisational measures.

A one month response time applies to all Data Subject Rights, so we will endeavour to ensure that any receipt of data subject requests are fully understood and that it is our obligation to respond within 30 days.
