We at Variety Ireland believe it is the responsibility of each and every one of us to protect and enhance our land and waters on which all life depends.

Changing minds helps change attitudes

As a charity with a conscience, we  recognise that the way that we treat our environment today will be our inheritance to our children and to their children for generations to come.

We have a vision where land that offers diversity of life will thrive. If we all act to conserve nature it will not only make our county a cleaner and better place to live but make us much happier people.

Our 3 Key Objectives

Climate action

Educate the children of Ireland on the importance of becoming more conscious about the way they live their lives, and to provide them with the tools that they need to make change within their own communities.

Protect our resources

Improve their awareness of the harmful effects that toxic pesticides have on local wildlife and habitat. Encourage the planting of native Irish trees and hedgerows as a vital food source for bees and pollinators.

Promote Sustainable Living

Engage with children and involve them in programmes with tools that can help them reduce their own personal carbon footprint and societal environmental impact in their local community.

Bee Kind Project

Over 60 community groups united in Lough Lannagh, Castlebar, Co Mayo to plant two orchards and to spread the core principles behind this project:
Bee kind to yourself
Bee kind to others
Bee kind to your community
Bee kind to nature
