Variety Ireland Awarded Triple Lock Certification
Variety Ireland is proud to have been awarded Triple Lock certification by the Charities Institute of Ireland for 2023.
Triple Lock status is awarded to charities that uphold the highest standards in transparent reporting, ethical fundraising and strong governance structures. This recognition is the gold standard for Irish charities to offer assurances to donors, members and the general public.
To achieve Triple Lock certification, a charity must be compliant in the following three areas:
- Ethical Fundraising
Our board has formally adopted the Guidelines for Charitable Organisations on Fundraising from the Public. Our team are fully trained on what’s required, and we have implemented controls to ensure that all our fundraising practices are fully in line with the Guidelines and related Codes of Practice. - Annual and Financial Reporting
We prepare a trustees annual report and our annual financial statements in compliance with the Charity SORP (Statement of Recommended Practice under FRS102) accounting standard. - Governance
Our board has formally adopted the Charities Governance Code as devised by the CRA. This means our charity complies with the six principles of governance, has reached the core standards expected, and attained additional standards that reflect a more complex structure, if relevant.
