Did you know that Variety Ireland not only support children and their families, but also many schools and organisations throughout the country?
One of which is St. Michael’s House Grosvenor School in Leopardstown, Dublin.
Grosvenor School is an amazing, and not to mention vital support to so many children with moderate, severe and profound learning disabilities. It offers these children a safe environment where educational programmes are tailored to their individual needs. It supports all it’s pupils to live full and independent lives within their families and communities.
Recently Variety Ireland were the lucky recipients of a donation from Tesco’s Community Fund, which was collected by Miss Dublin, Ciara Whelan on our behalf. This money was ringfenced towards a new iPad for Grosvenor School, which Grosvenor School just received!
Ciara is a big supporter of Grosvenor School and raised over €1,000 for the school’s Wheelchair Swing, as part of her Miss Ireland ‘Beauty with a Purpose’ fundraiser. Grosvenor House are still looking to raise funds for a Wheelchair Swing for their school. This an innovative Swing offers inclusion and enables wheelchair users to be able to enjoy the sense of freedom and movement that others may take for granted.
