Exploring New Horizons with Grace in Co Meath

Variety Ireland’s Recycle Mobility Programme provides access to cycling for children with disabilities right across Ireland. On our journey around Ireland we recently ventured to Co Meath to present a special mobility trike to a fabulous young lady called Grace. This now means that she and other family members can enjoy the freedom of cycling together around picturesque Meath and beyond. Not only does our Recycle Mobility Programme provide vital exercise opportunities for Grace, but also contributes to the wellbeing of the whole family being able to do cycling activities together.

Here is a lovely note we received from Grace’s mum, thanking us for her daughter’s new trike. On behalf of Variety – the Children’s Charity of Ireland and Minister Hildegarde Naughton The Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth, Sean Canney from The Department of Transport and the HSE who support our Recycle Mobility Programme initiative, may we all wish you and your family , many many happy years of cycling together!

“Dear Variety Ireland Team,
I am writing on behalf of our daughter Grace and all in our family to sincerely express our gratitude to yourselves, Minister Hildegarde Naughton and The Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth, Sean Canney from The Department of Transport and the HSE who so kindly helped provide our daughter with her new mobility bike.
We received Gracie’s trike and it’s absolutely amazing. She loves it and is now out on it everyday after school. She wouldn’t leave our front garden, not even to go for a walk, her new trike has giving her the confidence to leave the front garden and be able to play and cycle outside.
Thank you again!”
