Family Cycling Opportunities in Lovely Leitrim

Variety Ireland’s Recycle Mobility Programme provides access to cycling for children with disabilities right across Ireland. On our journey around Ireland we recently ventured west of the river Shannon to lovely Leitrim to present a special mobility trike to a fabulous young lady called Elizabeth. This now means that she and other family members can enjoy the freedom of cycling together around picturesque Co Leitrim and beyond. Not only does our Recycle Mobility Programme provide vital exercise opportunities for Elizabeth, but also contributes to the wellbeing of the whole family being able to do cycling activities together.

Here is a lovely note we received from Elizabeth’s mum, thanking us for her daughter’s new trike. On behalf of Variety – the Children’s Charity of Ireland and Minister’s Anne Rabbitte, Minister Jack Chambers and Minister Eamon Ryan for supporting our programme, may we all wish you and your family , many many happy years of cycling together!
