Trikes away for Eoin in Wicklow

Trikes away for Eoin in Wicklow

Trikes support inclusion for children with disabilities. Since 2021, Variety Ireland with the support of Minister Anne Rabbitte Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth and Minister Eamon Ryan and The Department of Transport, have helped hundreds of young children get their very own special mobility trike. To add to this, lots of special schools have also received trikes that have been handed by children receiving a new one. Our fully sustainable Recycle Mobility Programme ensures we recycle old trikes so other children can be included in cycling activities with their friends at school.

Say hello to Eoin from Co Wicklow who received his new trike. He now enjoys wonderful days out on the greenways across Ireland and cycling activities with other family members. Thanks to our Recycle Mobility Programme, we can ensure wonderful children like Eoin can now have access to equal access to cycling which is great for both his mental and physical health and that of all other family members. Here is a note along with videos and photos of Eoin enjoying his trike. On behalf of all here at Variety Ireland and the ministers, Many happy years of cycling Eoin!

“Dear Variety Ireland,
Thank you for your tremendous efforts in supporting children with disabilities with your Recycle Mobility Programme. This enable kids with disabilities to experience the joy of cycling, which it is truly appreciated.
We are deeply grateful for the support you have given Eoin, he is thrilled with his new trike.
The newfound freedom & delight Eoin gets from  his trike is wonderful. We are seeing his personality shine bright while he has fun with his big brother too. The immeasurable benefits extend to all the family.
Our immense gratitude to all involved in  supporting this initiative – you are the positive change we need!”
