Moore Special Mobility Trike for Freya

Cycling is a given for most children nowadays. It is something most of us all take for granted. However, for children with disabilities, access to cycling is not always a given. Here at Variety Ireland, our Recycle Mobility Programme provides special mobility trikes to children with mobility issues so they too can be included in cycling activities with their family and friends.

Meet Freya who recently received her own special mobility trike thanks to the support of Moore Ireland in Dublin, who co supported the cost of this special trike for this fabulous young lady.

Thanks to Moore Ireland, it now means that Freya can enjoy cycling activities with her family and friends. Not only does this support equal access and inclusion to cycling for Freya, but according to a report conducted by The RCSI and Trinity College, Freya’s special mobility trikes contributes to improving the mental and physical well-being of both Freya and other family members by up to 87.5%.

Moore Ireland hold a very special place in the hearts of us here at Variety Ireland for many reasons. Not only do they provide our charity with free office space, but also handle all our postal duties at no expense to the charity. Thanks to their kindness and dedication of Donal, Jaqueline, Rebecca and the team at Moore Ireland, it allows us to maximise our income from government, private and corporate support, which goes directly to helping children with disabilities across the island of Ireland.
