Farewell to a Variety Legend

Helping sick, disadvantaged and children with special needs since 1951.

Farewell to a Variety Legend

It is with great sadness that we about the passing of a true trojan of Variety – the Children’s  Charity of Ireland – Betty Wall,  who has sadly passed away.

Betty and her late husband Kevin where involved in this charity since the beginning nearly 70 years ago. They helped countless children over those years, and helped to supply a great many Sunshine Coaches, Liberty Wheelchair Swings, specialised trikes and equipment. Both also served as Chief Barkers (CEOs) for many years and volunteered their time and energy to help so many children across the country.

They were known for the hard work by many Irish celebrities and non-Irish celebrities. From Brenden Grace to Dickey Rock and Sonny Knowles to Red Hurley, Betty was well known to a wide circle in the entertainment industry. She will be sadly missed for her wisdom and support.

Our heartfelt prayers are sent to her family at this time. May she rest in peace.
