Gold Heart Award for Maureen Grant

Maureen Grant & Lord Mayor of Dublin, Naoise Ó Muirí

On Friday 7th June 2013, Variety the children’s charity  paid tribute to Maureen Grant for her continued support to the Irish Entertainment Industry.

Maureen is a well known face in the Olympia Theatre, where she has worked as a bar supervisor  since 1949!

Maureen was presented with a ‘Variety Gold Heart Award for Outstanding Contribution to Irish Entertainment’ by The Lord Mayor of Dublin, Naoise Ó Muirí at The Mansion House, in recognition of her over 60 years in the entertainment industry.

A Special Video with messages of Congratulations from Bono, Colin Farrell, Billy Connolly, Brendan Gleeson, Brendan O’Carroll, Keith Duffy and Phil Coulter was presented to Maureen on the night to mark this very special occasion.

Guests at the event included longtime friend of Maureen, promoter Pat Egan. Also in attendance were Sorcha Furlong of Fair City, Kamal Ibrahim and Derek O’Neill (Vice President of Variety International).
